The “Blessings in a Backpack” is empty. We are asking for your contined generosity so that we can continue to provide weekend foodbags for the 2025-2026 school year.
ONE in FIVE children relies on their school’s free and reduced-price meal program to provide the nourishment they need to learn and grow. But what happens when the kids leave school on Friday? St. Nicholas provides bags of food to the children of the Mogadore School District. The bags of food are distributed on Fridays to take home for the weekend.
Gloria Molenaur, our St. Nicholas chair, is accepting your donations throughout the school year. She can take non-perishable foods from the list she publishes in the bulletin or money to purchase foods that will go into the blessing bags. You can just drop a check in the candle stand basket marked “Blessings in a Backpack”
The past 11 years St. Nicholas has provided weekend food bags for the children of O.H. Somers Elementary School in Mogadore. Will you help feed the children this weekend?
